RELIABILITY TRIAL.

ORION MOTOR-CYCLE CLUB. During the week-end the Orion Motor-cycle Club held a successful reliability trial for the Bai Cup. The event was oompleted without mishap and all competitorsi checked in at every station. The trial was over a distance of 118 miles and was controlled by eighteen checks. The route was through Aokautere, Manawatu Gorge, Ballance Iload to Pahiatua. After lunch the run was through Coondoir Gorge to Dannevirke, thence via the main road to Palmerston North. The winner was H. D. Ross, of Palmeiston North, and he was closely followed by W. K. Miller and E. Pink. Miss J. Simpson, a passenger with the latter, won the ladies’ prize. Ilesuits were as follow: —Bai Cup and replica, H. D. Ross, lost 61 points, 1; gold medal, W. R. Miller, lost 65 points, 2; silver medal, E. P. Pink, lost 70 points, 3; ladies’ prize, Miss J. Simpson. Other riders to finish close up were M. Batchelor 76, E. Peterson 77, C. Jennings 84, E. Dedman 85, A. D. Lindsay 86, F. Rasmussen 87, T. Hickford 90. E. Pasley 93, and IV. Whitehouse 94.
