RONGOTEA.
WEDDING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, Aug. 28. On Tuesday afternoon a wedding of much local interest was solemnised in St. Simon and St. Jude’s Anglican Church, Rongotea, when Evelyn, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs E. C. The church, which was filled to capacity, had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride in a colour scheme of white and yellow. The bridal party stood under a dainty floral wedding bell. Rev. W. Kelly officiated at tho ceremony and Mrs W. Kelly presided at the organ. Tho bride, who entered tho church on the arm of her father, wore a giown of white French crcpe-de-chine with an over bodice of gold lace, and shoes and stockings to match. Tho frock was cut on simple lines with long tight-fitting sleeves. The long veil of white tulle was caught round the back pf the head, and arranged at each side with clusters of orange blossom. Her bouquet of freezias and primroses completed a dainty toilet. Miss Annie Burgess (sister of the bride) was bridesmaid, and wore a frock of shell pink georgette and silver lace, the skirt of which dipped at the side. Her hat was a model, of silk straw, and she wore black satin shoes and stockings to tone with the frock. A dainty bouquet of mauve and cream spring flowers was carried. All the bouquets were mado and presented by Mrs H. Lancaster, of Glen Oroua.
