The weekly shoot was held on the range on Monday evening, thero being a poor attendance of members, but the shooting was of a fair standard. The following scores were recorded: —H. Hughes, 69, 68, 137; J. Baker, 67, 68, 135; H. Robson, 69, 66, 135; F. Rosvell 65, 69, 134; L. Raikes, 66, 66, 132; H. Gore, 66, 66, 132; A. Gee, 67, 63, 130; A. Pedersen, 65, 65, 130; M. Watson, 65, 64,’ 129; F. Patience, 61, 64, 125; O. Jackson, 59, 64, 123; L. Koberstein 62, 58, 120; R. Mitchell, 63, 64, 127; G. Duthio, 56, 60, 116. The friends of Mr L. Burrell will regret to hear that ho is an inmate of a Palmerston North hospital, having been operated upon for apprendicits. He is progressing favourably. The eldest son of Mr W. Hughes (Steve) is an inmate of the. Palmerston North •Hospital undergoing treatment. Mr J. Eggers, who has been indisposed for some time, has found it necessary to enter hospital for treatment On Tuesday, 27th inst., the Ladies’ Hockey Club held a most successful dance in the Bunnythorpe Public Hall, which was tastefully decorated for the occasion with the colours of the club and evergreens. First-class music was provided and also a dainty supper. The duties of M.C.’s were ably carried out by Mr H. Robson and Mr H. Godfrey. The young ladies are to be congratulated in the arrangements in providing suck a successful dance. By the large attendance they were fully rewarded for their effort.
