SYDNEY PAPER’S DEFENCE. S\ r DNEY, Aug. 27. At to-day’s hearing before the Full Court of an application for a rule nisi against the Sydney Morning Herald. affidavits tendered by editorial writers claim that the comments in connection with the timber strike, which are the subject of complaint, related to bona fide reports and references to the basher gang, and were not intended to apply to Mr J.
