CHESS.
PALMERSTON NORTH CLUB. On Monday evening six members of the Palmerston North Chess Club visited Levin and defeated the home club by four games to two. Last night the eighth round of the ournament was commenced, Fleck and Thirtle winning the only games finished. Two adjourned games from the seventh round were finalised, Richards and Stewart winning.
