RUGBY FOOTBALL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Aug. 27. The Bailey seven-aside competition will be played on tho Bulls Domain on Wednesday afternoon, and teams are expected from all parts of the Rangitikei Sub-Union, as well as from Wanganui and pther outside centres. RANGITIKEI GOLF CLUB. The following will represent Rangitikei against a team from Castlccliff, at Bulls, on Wednesday;—Law, Carter, J. S. Tricker, Signal, Hendry, A. K. Drew, Daniell, Purcell, Jno. Tricker and Dalrymple. Play will commence at 1 p.m. During the week-end a Rangitikei team visited Seafiold, Wanganui, and played fourball and singles matches. Seafield players won by 7 games to 3 in the singles, but Rangitikei won the four-ball match by 3 games to 2. Details are as follow, Rangitikei players being mentioned first;— Singles.—Law defeated McDonald; J. S. Tricker defeated Peattie; L. J. Cooper defeated Young; H. J. Hendry lost to Smart; A. K. Drew lost to Brown; G. Bertram lost to Hackett; J. S. Daniell lost ,to Kitto; R. Mansell lost to Austin; W. E. Robbie lost to McMillan; W. J. Willis lost to Sharpe. Four-ball. —Law and Tricker defeated McDonald and Peattie; Cooper and Hendry defeated Young and Smart; Drew and Bertram lost to Brown and Hackett; Daniell and Mansell defeated Khto and Austin; Robbie and Willis lost to McMilland and Douglas, the latter playing as substitute for Sharpe.
