GOLF AT ADELAIDE. ADELAIDE, Aug. 26. In the amateur golf championship to-day, Sloan Blorpeth (N.Z.) beat Bulte, 5 and 3. The New Zealander gave a sparkling display. Whitton beat Blorrison 7 and 5; Russell beat Quirk, 4 and 2; Apperly beat Dalrymple 3 and 2; Nettlefold beat Sawyers 2 and 1; Ryan beat Adams 5 and 3; Winser beat Schlapp 3 and 2; Hattersley beat BlcGuinness 2 and In the professionals’ contest Blclntosh met Spence, the former winning the first five holes out, also the sixteenth and seventeenth in. He was 2 up at the eighteenth. Spence was level at the thirty-sixth. Blclntosh, putting his second through the green and taking five, was beaten one down at the thirty-seventh. Bissett beat Corry 2 and 1 ; Howard beat Robertson 7 and 6; Stewart beat Lefevre 4 and 3; Blcßlahon beat Heard o and 4; James beat Eyre 2 up. "WRESTLING. „ SYDNEY, Aug. 26. At the Stadium to-night John Pesek defeated Jim Browning—both are Americans —in the seventh round w lth a body scissors and backslam. Browning was unable to continue. Several times during the whirlwind contest Browning had Pesek in troublo and looked a certain winner on points until he was disabled. BILLIARDS.

BlcConachy opened very well against Smith in the time limit billiards match. The scores are: McConachy, 2254 (breaks of 524, 382, 298 257). Smith 1935 (breaks of 152, 119).
