SMITH-LINDRUM MATCH ADJOURNED. DEATH OF MRS LINDRUM. SYDNEY, Aug. 24. The death occurred in a private hospital last evening of Mrs Walter Lindrum. In consequence, the billiards match between Smith and Lindrum has been abandoned. The scores stand as follow: Lindrum 21,431, Smith 19,308. CLAIM AGAINST SMITH. £SOOO DAMAGES. Received August 24, 11.5 a.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 24. Thomas Harrison, a journalist, has issued a writ claiming £SOOO damages against Willie Smith, the billiards player. The cause of the action is not disclosed.
