MOTOR UNION.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE HELD. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 23. The annual conference of the North Island Motor Union opened this morning, Mr Toogood, of Wellington, presiding. The delegates wave vu loomed by Mr Grayson, president of the local Association and by the Mayor, Mr G. Baildon. The chairman appealed to the delegates to have an energetic campaign for additional membership. There were 135,000 motor cars in New Zealand and thousands of motorists were receiving benefits from the association’s work without contributing to its funds.
