Statistics contained in the Federal Budget reveal that the production in tho Commonwealth increased in tlie past seven years by £62,000,000 to £432,000,000. Tho movement of the trade balance in favour of the Commonwealth discloses an improvement of £21,000,000. The savings bank deposits rose from £162,000,000 in 1922 to £215,000,000 in 1928.
