(From Our Own Correspondent.) BUNNYTHORPE, July 29.

There was a good attendance on the rocreation ground on Saturday afternoon to witness tho football match botween Bunnythorpe third and Feilding High School. Both teams put plenty of life into tho gamo which was very willing. Soon after tho start tho homo team lost a good chance of scoring. Then Feilding relieved, and from midfield a great passing rush by High School, in which all tho backs took part, resulted in Fitzpatrick scoring. Tras3 converted. Tho gamo was not long in progress again when a similar passing rush took place, resulting in Underwood scoring. Tras sagain converted. The homo team from the kick out put High School on the defence and timo and again Bunnythorp© just failed. Then from a scrum just outside tho twenty-fivo lino tho ball was passed to E. Duthio who carried out a clever movement, drawing all tho backs, and sent Powell away to scoro wide out. The second spell opened with Bunnythorpo doing their best to even up tho scores, resulting in R. Mitchell diving over to score a good try. Play remained in tho High School twonty-fivo for somo timo, but their defence hold good, and at last they were able to reliovo and a good rush resulted in Trass scoring. Bunnythorpo from the kick out put in somo good play, especially E. Duthio, who was tho outstanding player on the ground, but again they wore driven back, resulting in BramweU scoring, and tho gamo* soon after ended with tho scores: Feilding High School 16, Bunnythorpo 6. Tho visitors aro to be complimented on tho good and interesting football that they played, thus being tho first team to lower the colours of tho Bunnythorpo team. Mr Berrey ably controlled the game. Tho Anglican Ladies’ Guild held another successful euchre _ tournament on Friday evening, resulting in Miss Godfrey winning tho ladies’ prize and Mr G. Jepson tho gentlemen’s prize. Tho Bunnythorpo Miniature Rifle Club fired a match with the R.S.A. Club at tho Bunnythorpo rango on Thursday evening. Both A and B teams suffered defeat by the visitors. After the match tho home team entertained tho visitors at supper.
