Received July 5, 10.10 a.m. SYDNEY, July o. The following scored tries,in Wednesday’s Rugby match, the All 1 Blacks versus Newcastle: Oliver, « Waterman (four), Carleton and Geddes (three). Cundy converted four.

To show how hard-pressed the New Zealand team must be, the New Zealand Rugby Union received a cablegram from Messrs J. McLeod (manager), and S. S. Dean, from Sydney, stating that Dailey would not be able to play again on the tour, and asking that another man, preferably a half-back or five-eighths, should be 6ent across to reinforce the team. This was referred to Mr E. McKenzie, chairman pf the New Zealand Selection Committee, with the result that E. C. T. Leys, the Victoria College half-back, has been selected to proceed to Australia. Leys, who played half-back for Wellington against Taranaki at Hawera on Wednesday, will leave for Sydney by the Marama to-day.
