AMBASSADOR’S MISSION
(Australian Press Association —United Service.) LONDON. June 8. The New York correspondent of the Daily Mail states that General Dawes, the newly-appointed United States Ambassador to Britain, has sailed for London aboard the Olympic. General Dawes carries President Hoover’s latest ideas of naval disarmament, on which General Dawes is expected to seek an early interview wi Mr Macdonald. . General Dawes is also nrmed witli explanations of the Llilted Statess new high tariff rates, against which there have been representations from the British Government on behalf of English manufacturers.
