MENTAL DEPRESSION.
DEATH AT CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, June 9. Walter William Hyplius, aged 42, was found deac} by his wife with his throat cut in a shed at the rear of his residence at two o’clock this morning. A blood-stained razor lay beside the body. Mr Hyplius, who was an ex-soldier, had been suffering from acute depression due to ill-health. He had suffered severo wounds and his health had been indifferent for a long period. Recently his depression had been more marked. At the inquest Mr Levvey, S.M., returned a verdict of suicide while in a state of mental depression.
