YOUTH MISSING.
Per Press Association. BLENHEIM. June 7,
A youth named Redpath, about 18 years', has been missing from a farm at Cape Jackson, Queen Charlotte Sound, since Wednesday afternoon. He left home in a small boat to procure gravel from a bay about half a mile distant. Later the upturned boat was discovered, together with the youth’s hat, oars and gr.avel boxes. Launch parties have been searching since, but, though the coast for miles has been thoroughly combed, no trace of the missing lad has been discovered. He came from Waipukurau early this year with his father who is managing a farm for Mr Rex McLauclilan, the Waipukurau county engineer.
