MIMIC BATTLE IN THE TASMAN
NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIAN
VESSELS,
SYDNEY, June 3. The Australian Fleet is already at Hervey Bay, off the Queensland coast, awaiting the New Zealand cruisers, which are due in a week’s tune. The major exercises, in which tho New Zealand ships will participate, have already begun. The Australian ships are going to meet the New Zealand ships, which will be treated as enemy vessels or an invading squadron. A series of iniportant manoeuvres will then begin. Most of tho “fighting” will be done at night time.
