SEWERAGE WORK.
PROGRESS OF EXTENSIONS.
Excellent progress has been made with the sewer reticulation work authorised in the borough under the last loan proposals, and work is now proceeding on the Boundary Road section extending from Roy Street to Ruahine Street. This, with two short pieces in Heretaunga Street and Ruahine Street is the only work remaining to be done under the scheme. The extensions were undertaken at the beginning of last July, arm the new sewerage laid comprises 17 chains of 21in, 167 chains of 15in, 10 chains of 12in, 62 chains of 9in and lli chains of 6in pipes, the total length being 2671 chains, or over 31 miles.
