ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 28. The weather was cold and showery at Ellerslie for work to-day. The track was heavy, all the gallops taking place on the No. 1 grass. Corinax, Bisox and The Lover did a round in 1.58 2-5, the last six furlongs takng 1.24 2-5. Coolmint beat Kawainga and Thursby over six furlongs in 1.23 4-5. Hyde Park was ahead of High Pitch at the end of seven furlongs run in 1.37 4-5. Bright Hand ran six furlongs in 1.23 2-5. King Emerald did a round in 2.1 2-5. Gold Money joined in at the six furlongs and they finished together in 1.24. Hoarcre did three furlongs in 39 3-ssecs —a good gallop. Beau Cavalier and Abbot’s Delight did a round in 2.4. Eager Rose went a round in 2.2 3-5, Theodolite going with her for the first six furlongs. Overhaul beat Maunga over a round in 2.6 3-5. Taneriri and Roman Pearl finished in front of Vakier at the end of six furlongs run in 1.23. Welkne ran 6even furlongs in 1.35 4-5. Maori Boy was in front of Bizarro and Diamond Queen at the end of six furlongs run in 1.25 2-5. Black Mint, Keddar and Oration finished as named at the end of five furlongs in 1.7 2-5. Arikitoa and Value ran six furlongs in 1.24 2-5. Kauri Park was in front of Clockwork at the end of a round run in 2.7 3-5. Chelone ran four furlongs in 51 4-5 secs —the best <jf the morning. THE JUMPERS. On the course proper Golden Wedding, War Officer, Adjuster and Salamander set out over five hurdles. Salamander fell at the first and Adjuster at the third. War Officer made a bad jump at the fourth, leaving Golden Wedding well clear at the finish. Salamander was remounted and started out for a similar task, but he fell at the last hurdle.

Red Fuchsia and Kawini did the journey over five hurdles in ,2.26 2-5, the former pleasing most. Comical and Mister Gamp went over five hurdles in 2.25. Mister Gamp struck the last very, hard and knocked down a flight, but kept on his feet and there was little between the pair at the finish. Locarno was in front of Cybeile after a journey over four hurdles. Oden went over four in 1.31.

Vexatious, Maidos and Mountain Crag finished as named after a round of the steeplechase course. Uralla and Young Thurnham set out for a similar task, the latter losing his rider at the second fence on the hill. Uralla finished over the remaining obstacles safely. Young Thurnham was remounted, but fell at the water jump. Airtight and Pikimai were sent over a round of the big fences, Airtight pleasing most.
