It was evident some months ago that the dairy production m the Auckland province during the present season would be a record _ It was probab bevond all expectations, however, that now with over a month of the dairying season yet to.run, the tota! production exceeds that for, the whole'of.:t P , vious record season of 1926-27 by j over eight per cent. Compared with last season, the margin in favour the present season is almost '14.4 per the season has been favoured by the weather,- it appears that the figures may be accepted as an indication of the advance in dairying in the province within recent times. The falling off inthe production season was primardy . the re*lt of the long dry spell during the peak, the rain coming too late to bring about a complex recovery. This season, on the other hand, Iras been fortunate m every way, with an evenly distributed rainfall, particularly at the time when, it was most needed. ..
