WORK AT DEVIATION.
RUMOURS QF STOPPAGE. Persistent rumours were current this morning that a number of men had been put off at the railway deviation and that all work was to cease within the next day or two. They are, however without foundation, as, when inquiries were made at the works, it was stated that no men were being put off at present, and no. news of any cessation of the work had been received.
