RUGBY, April 10. i The hundredth anniversary of the birth of William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army, is being celebrated to-day in almost every capital in the world. In some European countries, including Britain, the leading members of the Government are taking part in the Celebrations. The Prime. Minister, Mr Stanley Baldwin, will preside to-night at a great meeting in the Albert Hall, which is capable of holding 10,000 people, and in addition to General Higgins, the head of the Salvation Army, the Bishop of Willesden and Dr. Phillips, president of the Free Church Council, will give addresses , on the religious and social work of the Army.
