FIRE AT MOTU.
HOMESTEAD DESTROYED. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, April 10; A well-known homestead in the Motu district was destroyed by fire as the result of the flare up of a patent stove which had been left for a minute, the flames catching the table-cloth and quickly spreading through the house. The property was owned by Mr E. Richardson who, with an insurance of only £SOO, is a heavy loser.
