CHARGE OF BIGAMY.

YOUNG WOMAN’S ADMISSION. NAME SUPPRESSED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 10. A woman, aged 29,. whose name was suppressed, to-day admitted a charge of bigamy and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Accused’s second husband stated that he had married her at Wellington in November of 1926, baying known her for six months as a single woman. About three months after marriage accused told him she was married to another man. whom she had not seen for a number of years. There was one child born in February last! Witness stated that he had . been very happy with accused and intended to obtain a divorce between accused and her first husband and then go through the proper form of marriage with her. Accused had told him that ner husband was a drunkard, and that she had to leave him four times on account of his drinking habits. Counsel for accused said that accused’s husband was .at present serving a term of imprisonment; She was allowed bail, counsel asking that her name be suppressed. He said the man with whom 6he was at present living came from a very old Wellington family, and though be had nothing to do with the offence he would suffer for it.
