RAID ON OPIUM DEN.

CHINAMEN FINED. Per Press Asociation. AUCKLAND, April 9. As a sequel to a raid by Customs officers on premises in Grey's Avenue, four Chinese—All Hing, aged 35 years, Ah Yee,aged 28, Wong Chung, aged 48 and Ah Wong, aged 28 —were charged at the Magistrate’s Court to-day with having prepared opium in their possession. All Hing was fined £SO and each of the others £25. For overstaying a temporary permit to reside in the Dominion, Wong Chung, who was discovered in the opium den, was fined £25.
