WAR VETERANS.
SOUTH AFRICAN ASSOCIATION. Major J. T. Bosworth presided over the annual meeting of the Palmerston North South African War Veterans’ Association last evening, there being a fair attendance of members. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted: —President: Major J. T. Bosworth (re-elected); vioe-president, Mr A. T. Bendall; secretary, Mr W. Wilson (re-elected); executive, Messrs E. Hasloch, E. Powhill, S. Lankshear, W. E. Baldwin and Captain G. W. Braddell. The balance-sheet showed the association to be in a prosperous condition. ' . At the conclusion of the business, some time was spent in reminiscent mood of experiences during the South African War. *
