BUILDING SOCIETY.
STARR BOWICETT BALLOTS. In ballots for free of interest loans IP grp u P s and 4 of the Starr Bowkett Building Society last evening, the following were successful:—Group 3, Miss I. Johanson £2OO, and Mrs A. M Creighton £500; No. 4 group, Mr C E. Dempsy £SOO. The directors held their monthly meeting at the conclusion of the ballots, Mr F. Jackson presiding. Also present were Messrs M. A. Eliott, J. B. Gerrand, S. W. Itapley and S. J. Watson. Loans for £SOO and £4OO were approved in No. 3 group and a loan of £SOO obtained by ballot was authorised for deposit in the Post Office Savings Bank pending submission of security. Loans for £4OO and £SOO were approved in Group 6, and £IOOO obtained by ballot in Group 7 was passed for payment. Progress payment on a loan of £SOO was authorised and £SOO approved in Group 8. The loan of £IOOO by tender in No. 9 Group was held over for a future meeting. Ballots in Groups 3 and 4 and also 6 were authorised for next meeting, and tenders will be called for appropriations in Groups 7 and 9.
