MaNAWATU CLUB’S TOURNEY. SEMI-FINAL PLA Y. The semi-finals of the Manawatu Colt Club’s Easter tourney were piaved this morning, a heavy wind making driving anu putting difficult, but the course was in excellent order.

Par three at the Btli gave Jtkstedt the hole, but Mornabrook took the 9th in par 3. Mornibrook 2 up. Par tours halved the 10th hole and gave Ekstedt the 'llth, the Manawatu piiiyer squaring at the 12th ball, where lie sank in 3. Bixes halved the 13th and, par lours the 14th. Ekstedt took the loth in par and, after halving the 16th in lives, the match was won on the 17th green by 2 and 1. The last hole was played and was taken by Ekstedt in par four. . i M. Jlorton (Masterton) eliminated H. H. Hutchison (Manawatu) by one uu After an indifferent start, Horton struck a bad patch, but returned to form at the Bth hole, doing the fast nine holes in 38. Hutchison went out in 39 and returned in 40. On the outward journey, Horton took 38 lor o holes, he having picked up on the fourth green. . . The semi-final of the Hokowhitu handicap resulted: H. Blyth (Shannon) 4 beat 0. Armstrong (Wanganui) 9 by 6 and 3: D. Daniell (Manawatu) o beat A. Lawry (Napier) 8, by 3 and 2. In the semi-final of the consolation handicap, It. M. McKee (Manawatu) 8 beat R. B. Lucas (Manawatu) 12 by 5 and 4; M. 1). Loftus (Manawatu) 3 beat P. Pritchard (Dannevirke) 9 by one up.
