OPTIMISTIC BUDGET.
(Australian Press Association.) LONDON, March 30. Mr Winston Churchill, Chancellor of the Exchequer, is expected to be able to present an optimistic Budget. Apart from the provision for relief rating, lie will most likely rob the Labourites of their cry for a free breakfast table. The surplus excess is due partly to improvement in business and partly to a heavy death-roll of millionaires. CONSERVATIVE RETIRING. (Australian Press Association.—United Service.) LONDON, March 30. Lieutenant-Colonel J. Nockells-Hor-lick, Conservative member for Gloucester, is not seeking re-election.
