WEEK-END ACCIDENTS.

THREE MINOR MISHAPS. Three motoring accidents, though none serious, occurred on Saturday. About 4.15 p.m. Mr Max Andersen, of 54 Heretaunga Street, was driving a light car around the corner from Beresford Street to Rangitikei Street when his vehicle was struck by a service car. Fortunately, the heavy car struck Mr Andersen’s near the back and not directly on, and Mr Andersen and his passengers—his wife and four children—escaped uninjured. Shortly after noon a collision occurred at the junction of Ferguson and Ada Streets between a motor cycle ridden by Mr J. H. Perrin, of Richardson’s Line, and a lorry driven by Mr V. A. E. Barlow, of Pahiatua Street. Mr Perrin suffered abrasions and a badly bruised thigh. There were no other injuries. At 7.10 p.m. a motor cyclist, Mr R. O’Flaherty, of 40 Cuba Street, had a collision about two and a half miles along Rangitikei Line with a car driven by Mr W. Wilson, of Kauwhata. In the side car of the cycle were two passengers. Though the vehicles were somewhat damaged, the drivers and passengers escaped with minor bruises. YOUNG WOMAN KILLED. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 31. Through skidding on a wet tram line early this mornin g aadrc etaoieta early this morning a car driven by John Boyd Clark crashedl into a telegraph post at the clock tower corner and* four occupants were thrown out. Maureen Doris Mitchell, aged 25, was killed.
