DRAUGHTS CONGRESS.
DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP. PROGRESS OF PLAY. Per Press Association. DANNEVIRKE, March 30. The twenty-sixth annual Dominion. Draughts Congress was opened at Dannevirke on Good Friday by Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Public Works. Three competitors at the first New Zealand Congress in Wanganui are taking part, Messrs Lyon and Gibson (Marton) and Bruce" (New Plymouth). At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Draughts Association, the report states that there was evidence of a distinct revival of interest in tho game throughout the Dominion, and a more friendly feeling now existed between the Dominion and Australian Draughts Associations. Officers were elected as follow: Patron, Sir Robert Stout: president, Mr E. Gibbard (DannevirKel; VicePresidents, Messrs F. IfY sKeUing (Wellington), G. A. Bi oWn |(Chri«tchurch), F.
