COMMISSIONER’S ACTION UPHELD. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 29. The judgment' of the Appeal Court to-day in the King v. Power case oealt with, the rights of the Police Commissioner to dismiss a policeman.. Power was a policeman at Greymouth who was first fined £3 and then dismissed, and pleaded that he could not be punished twice. ' The Court held that the law clearly justifies his dismissal and the two punishments were not both inflicted for the same offence. The appeal therefore succeeded and the judgment of the Court below w.as reversed, with costs on the highest scale. The proceedings were remitted to the Supreme Court to* deal with the costs, after which final judgment will be entered for the Crown. 'i
