OLDFIELD’S WEDDING.
“JOHNNY” TAYLOR BEST MAN, CRICKET ATMOSPHERE. The marriage of Australia’s wicketkeeper, \V. A. Oldfield, to Miss Ruth Hunter, at St. Jude’s Church. Randwick, on Saturday, March 23, will have a real cricket atmosphere (says a Sydney paper). J. M. (“Johnny”) Tayior, the former international, is to be best man, and E. Rote, of Petersham, chief groomsman. With _hls bride Oldfield will leave for England on March 26, by the Orford, on the honeymoon, but he will also combine business with the trip. When in England he will devote a lot of time to the selection of cricket bats for next season, for which he will return to Sydney in plenty of time. After the marriage ceremony, on March 23, a reception will be held ut the Ambassadors, , Oldfield will play his Jagt big mateh this seuson in the fifth Test starting on Mareh 8, in Melbourne,
