SELLING LIQUOR.
SUBSTANTIAL FINE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. March 1. Accepting the police evidence. -Jr F K. Hunt S.M.. to-day convicted Charles Henry Lockhart Tucker, confectioner. Kilbiruie, on a charge of selling liquor without having a license. Following the alleged sale to the polioo. a raid was made on defendants place and a considerable quantity of liquor was seized. Air Hunt said that lie had no hesitation in accepting toe jxilice story and lined delemfant £-5, in default" three months. Mr Hunt added: "And in my opinion lie lias told lies and committed perjury.”
