FOUND IN CUPBOARD.
ESCAPEE RECAPTURED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. March 1. John William Osborne, aged 17. who •scaped from the police station lock up a fortnight ago. was arrested i>t two o'clock this morning asleep in :: large cupboard at the residence of Mi George Bloomfield. Epsom, about which the detectives had boon informed a suspicious character had been seen. A nalf-eaten apple and an open book and a bed made of eiderdowns indicated that Osborno had made himself comfortable. Osborne had gained an entry by climbing through a window. He submitted to arrest without a struggle Ami appeared in Court later on a charge of breaking and entering and entering and the theft* of jewellery and money to the value of £75. He was remanded to March 7. Further charges are said to bo pending.
