BAND CONTEST.
Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Feb. 28. Owing to an irregularity in connection with the band contest the Woolston quartette party was disqualified in the quartette competition. The first prize has been awarded to St. Kilda, Timaru being second. The points originally awarded were: Woolston 84, St. Kilda 83. Timaru 82, Palmerston North 81. Apparently Palmerston North will now take third place.
