CRUISER AUSTRALIA.

OFFICERS AT WASHINGTON.

(Australian Press Association.) ANNAPOLIS, Sept. 5.

Admiral Hyde and a group of officers from tho cruisher Australia today made official calls at Washington and were guests at a luncheon given by the Assistant Secretary of the bfavy, Mr T. D. Robinson. Other groups of officers also visited Washington and several hundred men toured tho capital in charabancs. Rear-Admiral Robinson, superintendent of the Naval Academy at Annapolis, gave a dinner in Admiral Hyde’s honour this evening. There were also a number of others dinners at which visiting officers were guests. Later there was a dance given by the local Officers’ Club.
