Godfrey, of the Canadian Air Force, accompanied by Sergeant-Miajor Graham, mechanic, hopped off for Lake Cormorant, Manitoba, and thence to Vancouver. The seaplane carries tho first air mail to the Pacific Coast. The take-oir of the big Fairchild monoplane from Lake Deschene was thrilling,’ the pilot being unab»© «o make sufficient headway to lift tiro machine from the water. A launch rushed across the path of tho ’plane, leaving a swell which, rising high, eventually enabled the pilot to lift the machine.
