VACANCIES ON THE BENCH. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard). WELLINGTON, Sept. 6. Tho illness of Sir Charles Skerrett and the death of Sir William Sim have depleted the Supreme Court Benpli, and the latter’s position will be difficult to fill, there being at this juncture so few suitable men available for the Bench. It is suggested that Sir William Sim’s place may he temporarily filled by a retired member of tho Supremo Court Bench.
