SEAMAN’S STORY.
ATTEAIPT TO lAIPOSE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 6. Thomas Itklout, a seaman, was sentenced to six months to-day for attempting to impose on his former employer with a story that he required money for his wife’s confinement. Accused had a long list iand was described as a man of bad character. He was discharged from Auckland gaol only a few days before ho attempted this fraud.
