COSMOPOLITAN CLUB.
LADIES’ WELCOMED. Yesterday afternoon members of the Cosmopolitan Club held a special ladies’ day, when tho wives of members were invited to, look over the new building. The function was in no sense an official opening, being arranged only to giyo members’ wives an opportunity. of becoming acquainted with tho splendid new premises erected by the club. The president, Mr F. Pycroft, in a brief welcoming speech, paid a tribute to the interest taken by the ladies in the club, and expressed tho hopo that in future an increased number of social functions would be arranged at which they would bo present. Later over 200 guests sat down to a dainty afternoon tea.
