TO-DAY’S MATCH

ORANGE FREE STATE AGAIN. CLOSER GAME ANTICIPATED. ALL BLACKS A STRONG SIDE. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Special to Press Association.) Received July 28, 8.55 a.m. BLOEMFONTEIN, July 27. The New Zealand team for the match to-morrow against the Orange Free State at Bloemfontein is as follows : Full-back.—H. LILBURNE. Three-quarters.—C. RUSHBROOK, T. R. SHEEN, F. LUCAS. Five-eighths.—W. STRANG, L. JOHNSON. Half.-back.—W. DALLEY. Front Row.— J. HORE, H. SWAIN, C. SCRIMSHAW. Supports.—M. BROWNLIE, G. ALLEY. Back row.—C. BROWNLIE, P. WARD, E. SNOW. Sheen was originally chosen as first five-eighths, but he goes to the centre because Carleton is suffering from • an injured muscle. Johnson takes the first five-eighths position. The team is a strong one and should put up a good showing. There are likely to bo six changes in the team which represented Orange Free State the last time the All Blacks met them, when New Zealand won by twenty points to nil. To-day’s match should prove to be a much closer game.

RETURN MATCH. WITH ORANGE FREE STATE. (By “Cross Bar.”) The All Blacks are scheduled to meet Orange Free State to-day at Bloemfontein, they having met a country fifteen drawn from the same State on June 13, when Ivroonstad was the venue of the contest. On that earlier occasion the fem-leaf wearers had played but four matches for two wins and two losses prior to their recording a victory to the tune of 20 points to nil against Orange Free State. While to-day’s opposition may be somewhat stronger than that which took the field over a month ago, the intervening period will have done much to bring the All Blacks to a greater state of physical perfection and Dominion enthusiasts rvill look forward to another comfortable victory to-morrow momThe team being fielded by the All Blacks is a reasonably strong one, although it differs materially from the cne which took the field on that earlier occasion. Of the rearguard, Lilbume, Strang and Dailey are the only members to again participate, but on the other hand the pack is closely similar, O. Brownlie and Ward replacing Hazlett and McWilliams. Although the cable does not dennitely state so, it would appear from the order of reading of the sciummagers that Scrimshaw will play the dual role of rover and “loose head, with M. Brownlie and Alley in the middle row. The formation would appear to have been definitely adopted by the tourists and it might well be worth a trial in the Dominion.
