WHAKARONGO NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) WHAICARONGO, July 27. It is with pleasure that the local Hall Ccmmittco announce that they will be able to present to local residents as well as visiting patrons a grand opportunity ot attending what promises to be a really high class concert and dance, to be helcl in the local hall on Wednesday evening, August 1. The programme to be submitted promises to be of a varied nature and will comprise vocal and instrumental items, besides dancing and elocution. The artists will bo the same party who rendered such an enjoyablo entertainment on July 6th last in aid of Miss Stonchouses candidature in tho Queen Carnival. On this occasion the entire proceeds will he devoted to the hall funds which are at present in need of replenishing an<l it is. hoped that the residents, to whom the hall belongs, will respond in a manner worthy of tho cause.
