UNITED PARTY.
COMMITTEE MEETING HELD. The newly-formed Palmerston North branch of the United Political Party held a meeting last evening, when the proceedings were taken in committee. The selection of a candidate for the electorate at the forthcoming elections was given further consideration and it is expected that the fatter will be sufficiently far advanced for a public announcement to be made in a few days. A further brief visit to Palmerston North was paid yesterday by the Dominion organiser, Mr A. E. Davy, in connection with party affairs. MY Davy held a short conference with the committee on the local organisation.
