SAFE BLOWN
DARING DUO. BURGLARS NOT REWARDED. SYDNEY WATCHMAN WOUNDED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). Received June 12, 9.10 a.m . SYDNEY, June 12. Approaching the hour of midnight two daring safe-breakers entered a well-lighted building—the Dairy Farmers’ Milk Company—in North Sydney and blew lip the safe. The watchman, who was one hundred yards away in the backyard, heard the explosion, and when investigating received two bullet wounds in an arm.
A pedestrian going homo saw the burglars rush out, enter a large car and speed away. A cashbox containing £lO was overlooked.
The thieves .apparently were not rewarded.
