Boys was likewise marred by an untortuna mishap, Peebles, of tho former fifteen, and Heard of the home team, coming into violent collision, the force ot the knock Peebles received rendering him unconscious. He was brought through to the Palmerston North Hospital whore enquiry to-day elicited the information that he had only partlj regained consciousness and was still seriously ill. . , „ Playing for Kaierau seniors at Wanganui on Saturday, Glengarry had a kneecap broken, while Glenn sustained a broken wrist. At Wellington, E. P. Walker, while playing- with the Poneke intermediate . team, fractured his right ankle, being admitted to hospital. . ... Two mishaps on the playing iielci are reported from Shannon where two members of the Foxton junior team met with injuries, R. G. Findlay sustaining a broken collar bone and H. Taylor a head injury. Neither is expected to re-enter tho field this season.
