DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS. . Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Jan. 23. The national swimming championships were continued this morning. Results were as follow : 220 yards MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. First heat: Lindsay (Canterbury) 1, Claridge (Wellington) 2, Enwriglit (Auckland) and Boiam (Canterbury) a dead heat 3. Won by three yards. Time, 2.39 4-5. Second heat: Pelham (Wellington) and Stokes (Canterbury) a dead heat 1, McLean (Otago) 3. Time, 2.43 1-5. 440 yards INTERMEDIATE BOYS’ CHAMPIONSHIP. First heat: Brownlie (Auckland) 1, Woods (Canterbury) 2, Eaton (South Canterbury) 3. Won by a touch. Time, 7.1 3-5. Second heat: Palmer (Wellington) 1, Gowan (Wanganui) 2, Harland (Otago) 3. Won by six yards. Time, 6.33. In the second round of the water polo championship, Canterbury A beat Canterbury B by 6 goals to 1. Miss Miller who was second to Miss Stockley in the 100 yards’ championship on Saturday, returned 68 4-ssec for the distance, l-ssec slower than the winner and l-ssec better than Miss Shand’s previous record. AUSTRALIAN^GIRL’S FEAT. RECORD FOR 150 YARDS. Received January 23, 11.55 a.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 23. By swimming 150 yards in 1.50 3-5, Miss Edna Davey created an Australian record for the distance. —Press Association.
