NAVY’S'NEW ’PLANE. LONDON, Jan. 14. .The Admiralty is replacing. the present single-seater Blackburn “Dart” aeroplane with an improved type of torpedo-carrying ’plane, named the “Blackburn Ripon.” It is a two-seater ’plane and the situation of the cockpits enables the observer and machine-gunner, behind the pilot, to protect the ’plane from attacks. It is fitted with the new slotted wing, anti-stalling device and may be converted to a seaplane.
