ONE KILLED AND MANY INJUR!

CINCINNATI, Jan. 19

One man was killed and over 30 injured, wliile scores of houses were demolished when a tornado swept through a 200-mile path over South-Western Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

Tentative estimates place the damage at 500,000 dollars. A Red Cross hospital and other relief workers are aiding in the search for undiscovered victims. Cincinnati and Hamilton (Ohio) and Louisville (Kentucky) were >the sites of the principal damage. Schools and homes were wrecked by the force of the wind. Heavy rain, accompanied by terrific thunderstorms, deluged the, southwestern and central western districts of this State. A cyclonic storm also struck Melbourne, lightning causing heavy damage. An electric train entering the Spencer Street station was struck by lightning, and the whole of the suburban electrical system disorganised.
