UNREGISTERED PISTOL.
ITALIAN FINED
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 20. An Italian named Cation Cavallaro, who arrived in the Dominion a year ago, was to-day fined £3 for being in possession of an unregistered automatic pistol and ammunition. Counsel explained that Cavallaro was ignorant of the laws of the country. The weapon and cartridges were brought into the country by Cavallaro, and -were not declared to the Customs officials.
