RAILWAY SERVICE.
Mr J. Carnachan, chief clerk at Palmerston Nontli, who has been relieving the stationmaster at Napier, resumed duty to-day. Mr W. Gordon, inspector of permanent way, has recovered from bis indisposition and has returned to duty. Mr D. Gample, of the locomotive department at Wanganui, is at pres’ent acting locomotive foreman at Palmerston North.
Mr D. S. Munro, of Auckland, and formerly of Palmerston North, is on annual leave. Mr B. Gough, of tb© local goods staff, is pn transfer to Wellington on promotion.
